Shawandha Lodge is a bungalow-style hotel sitting on five acres of secondary rainforest with access to the beach via a private jungle path. It has been constructed in neo-primitive style and boasts one of the area’s oldest and largest Ceibo trees as a property landmark. The vibe is tranquil, laid-back and artsy.
Shawandha’s bungalows are spacious, elegant and minimalist. Non-air-conditioned, they are individually decorated with locally handcrafted furniture and feature hardwood floors, a stunning, mosaic-tiled bathroom, and a terrace with sofa and hammock. Hot water, mini refrigerator, cable TV, microwave and Wi-Fi are all standard.
The facilities at Shawandha provide its guests a restaurant featuring local cuisine, a bar, and a pool. Hotel amenities include room service, massage services, and a free healthy breakfast featuring fresh local fruits, eggs, and homemade bread.
