Casa Chameleon is boutique adults-only resort that’s balanced on the edge of a forested volcanic ridge on the North Western coast of Costa Rica. The location provides for spectacular wrap around views of the North Pacific Ocean, and if you turn landward, you’re faced with over 1,000 acres of tropical rainforest, hills, and valleys.
The minimalist design allows the landscape to take centre stage on this beautiful stretch of the Guanacaste coast, and with only 21 private villas, you’ll feel as if you’ve got the place to yourself.
Except at sunset however, when the bar becomes a gathering place to enjoy the sun slowly melting into the ocean. In fact there’s only one other place to be when the sun goes down, and that’s in the magical infinity pool with a cocktail – a must at least once during your stay.
The villas range from one bedroom, through to larger suites with additional seclusion, larger terraces, and prime locations on the hillside. All include their own private plunge pool though, with views over the ocean to the Catalinas Islands so wherever you’re staying, it’s like having your own little slice of luxury.
The surrounding area provides untold opportunities for adventure, with beautiful beaches stretching into the distance, fantastic surf swells and warm waters making a lazy snorkel or kayak an absolute pleasure. Or, experience the hills and valleys of the forest on foot, bike or horseback.
For a more sedate afternoon try a day a few hours at the salon, or arrange a private yoga lesson. You can even cook fresh seafood with an executive chef, or just go fishing for the day. Whatever you choose to do, adventurous elegance for modern explorers awaits…
