If this is your first time in Costa Ria, you’re in for a treat. You’ll feel the warmth as soon as you walk off the plane, and when our friendly driver escorts you to your first destination, you’ll begin to understand the warmth of the Costa Rican people too. Your first night will be in the Grano De Oro – “Grain of Gold” – and you’ll find this renovated traditional Costa Rican home, now luxurious hotel, a perfect introduction to the country. Day 1
Transfer To Hacienda AltaGracia
Take a short private charter flight from San Jose to the Perez Zeledon region of Costa Rica where you will land at your hotel’s private airstrip. Absolute luxury awaits you in one of Costa Rica’s finest off the beaten path hotels. Surrounded by lush countryside and mountain tops, AltaGracia will take your breath away from the moment you touch down.
Day 2
Horseback Riding
This morning you will head out on the Santa Maria trail to Rio Calientillo with a private guide. After traversing through the countryside and arriving at the river’s edge, you will be served a traditional Costa Rican farmer’s meal wrapped in banana leaves and served with a traditional drink of “agua sapo”.
Day 3
Cooking Class
Join a local family and learn about the love that goes into cooking the amazing local dishes you will eat in Costa Rica. Prepare your own meal from recipes that have passed down the generations before sitting down with your hosts to enjoy your comida tipica. Buen provecho!
Day 4
Time To Hit The Beach
Your private shuttle will collect you and transfer you to the Uvita region of Costa Rica where you will check into Vista Celestial. Boasting unspoiled views over the Pacific Ocean and the famous Whale’s Tail, your private villa comes with its own infinity Jacuzzi. We can’t think of a better way to relax and enjoy your afternoon.
Days 5
Caño Island Snorkeling
With turquoise blue waters and colorful coral reefs, Caño Island is one of Costa Rica’s best snorkeling and scuba diving destinations. Depending on the time of year, keep your eyes open for Humpbacks, Orcas and Pilot whales as well as three species of dolphins as you make your way to the island.
Days 6
Free Day
Take the day to yourselves to reflect on your once in a lifetime Costa Rica vacation. If you are still feeling energetic there is plenty to keep you busy in this part of Costa Rica. Choose from excursions such as whitewater rafting, yoga at your hotel or why not visit one of the many nearby beaches in the Marino Ballena National Park. You choose how busy you would like to be.
Day 7
Time To Head Home
Your private shuttle will collect you and transfer you to San Jose in time for your international flights home.
