Ballena Park Hike

Start your day with a natural history hike through the town Bahia before heading to Punta Uvita in the Ballena Marine Park. There is a vast array of wildlife in this area and you can expect to see sloths, monkeys, bats and with a little bit of luck, the beautiful scarlet Macaws. On your return leg, you’ll be able to see the Tobolo, or as the locals call it, the Whale’s Tail. This is the famous stretch of sand that has been shifted into the shape of a whale’s tail due to the nature of the currents.
