Arrive and transfer to ArenalYour shuttle will be waiting for you just outside the arrivals terminal with a sign with your names on it. Check in to your hotel in La Fortuna, Hotel Los Lagos. This comfortable three star hotel is set in lush tropical gardens with a series of hot springs, a warm swim up bar and high speed water slide. Its a large resort with excellent facilities and in a great location only a short way from the main town. You will have a volcano view from your room!

Talk about getting the most out of your time in your Costa Rica. There`s nothing like a shot of adrenaline as you wake up –more effective than coffee! Today is the Lost Canyon Adventure, rappelling down a series of waterfalls, climaxing with a 200ft assisted rappel. Enjoy a typical local “casado” lunch before setting off for the next part of your adventure. Spend the afternoon exploring Earth’s inner-depths during a 2-hour trek past underground waterfalls and through smooth, stone passageways. You will see prehistoric marine fossils and exotic cave formations and be given a full explanation about how they were made and the approximate age of the caves. Overnight Los Lagos. Arenal Volcano Hike

Today hike as close as possible to the volcano while weaving your way through the lush Costa Rican rainforest as well as along the old lava fields. Your naturalist guide will point out exotic plants and wildlife and explain the history of this beautiful and fascinating volcano and area of Costa Rica. This is a must see for nature lovers and bird watchers and you are bound to see many species of animals! Overnight Los Lagos. Breakfast included.

Mountain Biking

This morning you will take a mountain bike tour to experience the amazing local scenery up close and personally. The moderate to challenging option takes you along backroads and windy hills as you pass through quaint countryside villages with stops at some fun swimming holes to cool off and take a breather. The Arenal Volcano area is ripe with amazing backroads for some fun rides. You’ll end with a nice snack and swim in a local river and cover about 16 miles on this picturesque ride. Overnight Los Lagos. Breakfast included.

Transfer to Monteverde, Coffee tour

This morning you will enjoy a fun transfer by jeep-boat-jeep to Monteverde and the famous cloud forest by way of Lake Arenal. It’s a fun way to change locations and nice to travel over the lake. You get a different view and it beats sitting in the minivan for 4 hours! Check into your hotel in Monteverde, Cala Lodge. This afternoon you will get a taste of the local culture and history. The Don Juan Coffee Tour will give you the chance to learn about the growth and process of coffee beans in a volcanic area, and how the authentic coffee used by our grandparent’s generation was made, a tradition that has made this country one of progress and peace. Breakfast and lunch included.

Hanging Bridges and Ziplines

Hanging Bridges and Ziplines

This is the best way to see and learn about the beautiful Monteverde cloud forest. Your bilingual guide will be there to tell you all about the flora and fauna of this unique region as you wander across the hanging bridges and fly through the jungle on a series of ziplines. After the tour you have entrance and time to visit the Hummingbird Gardens, Reptile and Insect Exhibitions, Serpentarium and Butterfly Farm, before being transferred back to your hotel. Transfer to Manuel Antonio

You will be collected from your hotel and driven the scenic route through the hills heading down to Manuel Antonio. As you get closer to the coast, feel the temperature rise and get ready for some hot lazy days. Check in to your hotel and spend the rest of the day relaxing. Overnight La Posada. Surfing Lessons & Manuel Antonio National Park

In the morning you will hit the beach for a surf lesson with a private instructor at the Surf School. Costa Rica is known worldwide for its beautiful beaches perfect for surfing and it is a fun sport to learn. Lessons with a local surf school will make sure that you learn the basics of surfing in a smooth and safe way. The surf lessons are given according to the tides and in an introductory surf lesson you will learn the basics of surfing such as standing, paddling, turning, tides as well as ocean awareness and surf ethics.In the afternoon you will visit the Manuel Antonio National Park. It is the best place for wildlife viewing and you are almost guaranteed to see sloths, iguanas and several species of monkeys, as well as other exotic creatures. Your naturalist guide will pick you up from your hotel and lead you along the well-kept trails to hidden beaches, all the while pointing out interesting things along the way. Enjoy a dip in the sea and sink your toes in to the soft sand of the beautiful Pacific beaches before returning to your hotel later in the afternoon to relax by the pool, have a couple of sunset cocktails or explore a little of Manuel Antonio. There is nothing quite like zooming across the ocean in search of the perfect beach. You will have one double jet ski to take you on an exciting and breathtaking tour along the coast of Manuel Antonio. This is a fun morning seeing the coastline from the water and stopping off at some excellent snorkeling locations where you will swim with exotic tropical fish and be able to check out the abundant marine life. Sea Kayaking:
Your sea kayaking starts this morning and is a wonderful way to see the coast line at a leisurely pace. Experience Manuel Antonio`sbreathtaking cliffs and beautiful rock formations from a vantage point only possible in kayaks as you follow the coastline. Your guide will lead you along past quiet coves and will point out the many shore birds nesting or gliding on the thermals created by the offshore winds that hit these rocky outcrops.
Rafting:
One of the cleanest rivers in Central America; the Savegre is an adventure: relaxation and pure action while enjoying the fantastic landscapes. This adventure starts with an early drive south ofQuepos driving through african oil plantations, teak reforestation projects and incredible scenery to the river put-in. Once you arrive at the Rio Blanco you`ll receive a full safety briefing before starting to paddle through rapids like “Hurricane Rita”,“Boca Diablo” (Devil`s Mouth) and “Washing Machine”. There will be a stop for a short hike and nice swim at a waterfall before the final rapid, “Santo Domingo”. Overnight La Posada. Breakfast included.

Transfer in a private shuttle from Manuel Antonio to the Corcovado National Park area of Costa Rica. This remote rainforest is home to the most diverse wildlife of almost anywhere on the planet and is sure to be a highlight ofyour Costa Rica vacation. Enjoy as much or as little activity as you like, or head down to the beach for the day. There is so much to do here that you are sure to be as busy as you want to be. Breakfast and dinner included.

Corcovado National Park Hike

Today you have an entire day in the amazing Corcovado National Park with an experienced bilingual guide who will help you spot various creatures and teach you a little bit about the forest and its inhabitants. There are over 400 bird species in the area; the raucous Macaws are hard to miss but some of the others aren’t always so easy to spot among the dense primary rainforest, so binoculars and cameras are recommended. You can also find all four Costa Rican species of monkeys here. The white-faced monkeys are often quite friendly and will even follow you through the jungle but the howler monkeys are more often heard than seen.Your guide will show you strange and wonderful trees such as the “Leche de Vaca” which the Indians used to cure ulcers and the “Walking Tree” which actually moves several inches each year. He will explain more or less how this special ecosystem functions,although the greatest experts admit they may know less than half of the total species that live here.The 4-5 hour walk is not terribly difficult but be prepared for a lot of ups and downs through the uneven jungle. You will be ready for a shower and a snooze when you return to the hotel. Overnight Pirates Cove. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.

You could go scuba diving or snorkeling at Caño Island, watch the dolphins and whales, try your hand at sport fishing, meet the monkeys in Corcovado National Park, see scarlet macaws and toucans on a bird watching tour, practice your sea kayaking skills, or just relax and enjoy life.
