Tortuga Lodge is a 27-room riverfront resort situated on 50 acres of private land, surrounded by the Costa Rica jungle. It has a peaceful, laid back atmosphere and beautiful, woodsy accommodations.
The accommodations at Tortuga Lodge are non-air-conditioned, airy and filled with natural light. The hotel offers guestrooms, a suite and a penthouse, all with river views. The guestrooms have a balcony or terrace with hammock. The suite is twice as large as the guest rooms and is outfitted with floor to ceiling windows and a separate living area. The penthouse occupies an entire floor and includes a living room and two full baths. All accommodations have private hot water bathrooms and Wi-Fi.
Resort facilities are minimal but excellent. A saltwater freeform pool, a Hammock House overlooking the river, open-air restaurant and bar serving regional cuisine, are among the best in the area. The resort also provides coffee service, a game room, and hiking trails.
