If this is your first time in Costa Ria, you’re in for a treat. You’ll feel the warmth as soon as you walk off the plane, and when our friendly driver escorts you to your first destination, you’ll begin to understand the warmth of the Costa Rican people too. Your first night will be in the Grano De Oro – “Grain of Gold” – and you’ll find this renovated traditional Costa Rican home, now luxurious hotel, a perfect introduction to the country. Ask about ‘Pura Vida’ and you’ll be welcomed like an old friend.

Your shuttle will collect you from San Jose and take you to Pavona where you will transfer by boat through the famous canals to your hotel, Manatus. You just need to walk around the grounds of Manatus to feel immersed in nature and you will quickly realize why Tortuguero is one of the most extraordinary places on earth. This afternoon you will visit the small village of Tortuguero.
