The surf lessons are given according to the tides and in an introductory surf lesson you will learn the basics of surfing such as standing, paddling, turning, tides as well as ocean awareness and surf ethics.
In the afternoon you will visit the Manuel Antonio National Park. It is the best place for wildlife viewing and you are almost guaranteed to see sloths, iguanas and several species of monkeys, as well as other exotic creatures. Your naturalist guide will pick you up from your hotel and lead you along the well-kept trails to hidden beaches, all the while pointing out interesting things along the way. Enjoy a dip in the sea and sink your toes in to the soft sand of the beautiful Pacific beaches before returning to your hotel later in the afternoon to relax by the pool, have a couple of sunset cocktails or explore a little of Manuel Antonio. Discover SCUBA
The underwater environment at Manuel Antonio National Park is just as stunning as the land, with mind blowing volcanic formations and a multitude of tropical fish. All dives are guided by a PADI professional who has extensive knowledge and experience so that you will see the most marine life and underwater formations.
Your tour includes two dives at different sites and all your equipment is provided. Dives typically last 45 minutes and you will see volcanic rock formations, with various hard and soft corals. There is an abundant marine life with schools of Snapper and Jacks, plus White Tip Reef Sharks, Angel Fish, Moorish Idols, Parrot Fish, Puffer Fish, Octopus, Eels, Crustaceans, Sea Turtles and the giant Manta Ray. During your surface interval you can enjoy the beautiful views of the Manuel Antonio National Park Coastline. You must have dive certification to participate in this tour, but if you are not certified you can do a Discover Scuba Diving course instead, and still dive at sea after some basic training. Overnight La Posada. Breakfast included.Day 11
Flat Water or Whitewater?
Sea Kayaking:
Your sea kayaking starts this morning and is a wonderful way to see the coast line at a leisurely pace. Experience Manuel Antonio`s breathtaking cliffs and beautiful rock formations from a vantage point only possible in kayaks as you follow the coastline. Your guide will lead you along past quiet coves and will point out the many shore birds nesting or gliding on the thermals created by the offshore winds that hit these rocky outcrops.
One of the cleanest rivers in Central America; the Savegre is an adventure: relaxation and pure action while enjoying the fantastic landscapes. This adventure starts with an early drive south of Quepos driving through african oil plantations, teak reforestation projects and incredible scenery to the river put-in. Once you arrive at the Rio Blanco you`ll receive a full safety briefing before starting to paddle through rapids like “Hurricane Rita”, “Boca Diablo” (Devil`s Mouth) and “Washing Machine”. There will be a stop for a short hike and nice swim at a waterfall before the final rapid, “Santo Domingo”. Overnight La Posada. Breakfast included.Day 12

The hotel can help you arrange local activities if you want. Pirate Cove is a small hotel, consisting of comfortable cabins and bungalows, located on Osa Peninsula, the least developed and most bio-diversified area of Costa Rica. Here, you will experience the true pristine and natural beauty of Costa Rica and nearby Corcovado National Park. Overnight Pirate Cove. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.Day 13
Today you have an entire day in the amazing Corcovado National Park with an experienced bilingual guide who will help you spot various creatures and teach you a little bit about the forest and its inhabitants. There are over 400 bird species in the area; the raucous Macaws are hard to miss but some of the others aren`t always so easy to spot among the dense primary rainforest, so binoculars and cameras are recommended. You can also find all four Costa Rican species of monkeys here. The white-faced monkeys are often quite friendly and will even follow you through the jungle but the howler monkeys are more often heard than seen. Your guide will show you strange and wonderful trees such as the “Leche de Vaca” which the Indians used to cure ulcers and the “Walking Tree” which actually moves several inches each year. He will explain more or less how this special ecosystem functions, although the greatest experts admit they may know less than half of the total species that live here. The 4-5 hour walk is not terribly difficult but be prepared for a lot of ups and downs through the uneven jungle. You will be ready for a shower and a snooze when you return to the hotel. Overnight Pirate Cove. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.Day 14, 15 and 16
