"Costa Rica Rios organized a great trip for us! From the very beginning of the trip, I was impressed by their organization and knowledgeable staff. An English speaking guide accompanied us on our bus ride and was great at answering all of our questions and giving us information about the country. 
The guides were friendly, knowledgeable and incredibly competent. I have rafted with many companies in the States and these guides were some of the best I have experienced. Their safety talk was thorough and they obviously had a lot of experience on the river. It was just the right mix of excitement and safety- I felt good taking teenagers with them.
The Pacuare River Lodge was an amazing place to spend the night. The rooms are simple, but clean and give the feeling of sleeping in the jungle, while being safely screened in. The kitchen, hangout area is open to the jungle and looks down on the winding Pacuare river. It is a perfect mix of nature and comfort. The food was great as well. There was a variety of choices and plenty of food for everyone. I especially loved the banana dessert the guides cooked when we were at the Pacuare lodge!
Additionally, Fraser and Jane were very friendly and helpful in setting up the trip and they accommodated our group's needs very well. Fraser even came by to check on us and meet us on the trip - it was great to see the owners investing so much in their organization.

I wanted to express my sincere appreciation for all you did to make our river trip on the Pacuaré truly unforgettable.  This is the fifth trip I have organized and led to Costa Rica and every year we have included some sort of river trip experience.  I can say without any hesitation or doubt that our experience with Costa Rica Rios has far exceeded any other river trip in Costa Rica up to this point.

While the logistics of perfectly coordinating an overnight river trip with rafts, canoes, and kayaks for 12 middle school boys and 3 trip leaders is noteworthy, the energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism of the Costa Rica Rios staff is what was exemplary!  It was clear that every detail of the trip was considered beforehand and tailoring the trip to meet the needs of middle school boys from the United States was evident in all that we did.  Many Costa Rican outfitters run safe, smooth trips but few come close to the standards of safety and professionalism that a school group demands and requires.
 
We have been reading and evaluating many of the journal entries from the Costa Rica trip and for most of the students, the highlight was the river trip on the Pacuaré.  The students and staff commented frequently on the exciting rapids and breathtaking scenery.  However, the "best moment" of the trip for many of the students was getting to interact with the trip leaders and and there are countless comments about the enthusiasm and personality of the trip leaders. 
 
Unbeknownst to the staff of Costa Rica Rios, the mission of our academy is to build character and integrity in young men for a lifetime of learning and service.  Our experience on the Pacuaré with the outstanding team from Costa Rica Rios fulfilled our mission as well as created a unique experience that our students and I will never forget.

Price
The cost of the Costa Rica guided private tours will depend on which activities you choose to include and the size of the group. However, we can guarantee that the price will be all-inclusive. Your trip will include: all lodging, all meals, all ground transportation within Costa Rica, English-speaking guides, all necessary activity equipment, and all park entrance and activity fees.


The only things will be responsible for are your airfares to Costa Rica, airport departure tax, alcoholic beverages, guide gratuities, and travel insurance.
