Special Interest Tours Birding Tour: 8-16 November, 2008
8 days - All inclusive tour, with a local birding expert as your guide. This trip will pick you up in San Jose and bring you to Turrialba. From our base you will be taken to the Irazu and Turrialba Volcanoes in search of bird species unique to those high altitude areas, including the resplendent Quetzal. We will visit the CATIE campus for an early morning "Bird Mist Netting" tour and later we will travel to the Sarapiqui area towards the Nicaraguan border for an overnight. The tour will also include a fun whitewater rafting trip into the jungle and we will spend 2 nights at our camp there, on the banks of the Pacuare River. Our last evening will be spent back at our base in Turrialba with a farewell dinner.
***$350 of your trip price will be donated to Idaho Rivers United (www.idahorivers.org) to help them with their ongoing conservation and restorations of the rivers of North America.
Special Interest Tours Week of Adventures with Yoga: 6-13 December, 2008
8 days - All inclusive tour, following the same itinerary as our regular Week of Adventures (Click Here to Download Complete Itinerary Details) but with the bonus of daily yoga sessions, led by Basia Going (http://www.basiayoga.com) a well respected yoga teacher from Ottawa, Canada. The yoga sessions will be held in the private tranquil courtyard of the Bed and Breakfast, the Rancho at our jungle lodge and weather permitting, on the beautiful Punta Uva beach.
